Construction has begun!
Construction has begun!!! It has been a long road to get here, but we are officially building a field. Back in 2017, the first partner in our dream of covering the triangle with our third field was the key to making it happen. The Durham Bulls and their parent company, Capitol Broadcasting Company have not only led the way in assisting with fundraising, construction design and planning, but also with the gift of money. The Durham Bulls Miracle League Park will be a tremendous asset to the city of Durham and the special needs community. The field will be at the corner of Blackwell and Morehead and the view for our players from home plate, will be the Durham Bulls Athletic Park. With construction beginning, we are starting to move earth and getting the field to grade. Our goal is to get the field open as soon as possible and begin play in Durham. Mike Higgins and his group at Atlantic Corporate Construction are doing the build with assist from many amazing local companies and we could not do it without any of them. Stay tuned to this blog and it will updated on a regular basis so you can see how things are going and watch the amazing facility takes shape. Now, just need it rain less!!
